DESCRIPTION
Originally from Punta Banda Peninsula in Baja, California adapted to Northern Minnesota. Punta Banda has early maturity, drought tolerance and has been adapted to the Midwest soils for over 8 years. Produces hundreds of red meaty, thick skinned large cherry tomatoes despite heat, water stress and poor soil. Great salad tomato! Well balanced sweet-tart flavor. It is also an excellent paste tomato as there is almost no seed cavity and no juice! It is semi-determinate and will fruit into late summer. Fruit is high in lycopene.
