DESCRIPTION
Bush bean. Jade's 6-7", slender, deep-green pods are exceptionally tender and delicious. High yielding even under heat or cold stress. High resistance to bean mosaic virus; and intermediate resistance to bacterial brown spot, curly top beet mosaic virus, and rust. Pale green seeds.
Growing Tips:
- Prepare the planting bed by using a garden fork or lightly till ground to loosen the soil. Plant when soil temperature is around 60F. Mix in a 1-inch layer of mature compost. Plant seeds 1 inch deep and 2 to 4 inches apart.
- Thin beans to 6 inches apart. Harvest begins once beans are full and swollen and should be picked every 3-5 days to avoid beans getting over-ripe and woody.
